These following stories are real accounts of what our customers have brought to us for inspection. Some are happy with our findings, others are horrified that they have been a victim of dishonest sales practices. Was their inspection worth the money? You be the judge.

Remember, if purchasing a used vehicle, bring it to us before you buy. Don't wait until after. Usually by then, it's too late.

This car was brought to us about a month after purchase

The customer that was sold this car was told that the vehicle had never been in an accident. Welding on the frame tells a different story.

If done properly, frame repairs CAN be safe. This is not an example of how to do a proper repair.

The sheet metal floor pan was only spot welded back in

This floor pan was only spot welded and is not waterproof. This would rust out very quickly and further reduce the integrity of this uni-body car.

Another thing we noticed about this vehicle, tire rubbing on a trailing arm

Believe it or not, when this vehicle was pieced together, they used the wrong trailing suspension arm. This vehicle now has two left arms instead of a left and a right, which are mirror images of each other.

This vehicle was returned to the dealer at a loss and is pending legal action to recover the difference.

This vehicle was brought to us before purchase

The customer that was thinking of buying this car was told that the vehicle had never been in an accident. Writing on the frame tells a different story.

We found frame components that were not even tight

We can see that this vehicle has had sub-assemblies removed and replaced, as a result of accident repairs.

Another shot of a replacement part from the wreckers

We found that this vehicle had rusty sub-assemblies that were not consistent with the condition of the rest of the vehicle. Some components still had wrecker inventory control numbers on them.

The auto body shop also forgot...

to re-weld the chopped catalytic converter hanger.

It goes without saying, the perspective buyer of this vehicle didn't buy this one and assured us that any other prospects would be brought in for inspection as well.
